War on Gaza: Kidney failure patients face slow death amid Israeli restrictions

The medical situation in the northern Gaza Strip is worsening due to Israeli policies restricting access to medical and food supplies. Kamal Adwan hospital reports increasing cases of malnutrition, skin diseases, and kidney failure. Patients, including children requiring dialysis, suffer from inadequate clean water and malnutrition. The health ministry says more than 1,500 patients need kidney dialysis – but only 60 hemodialysis machines are available across the strip.
So patients are receiving two dialysis treatments of two hours a week – a third of what they require. Residents call for an end to the conflict and for essential medical treatment to be made available. Al Jazeera’s Moath Al Kahloot reports from Kamal Adwan hospital in Northern Gaza.
