Venezuela reopens land border with Colombia

Venezuela has reopened its land border with Colombia for the first time in almost three years. President Nicolas Maduro had closed the crossing in 2019 amid a diplomatic rift between the South American neighbours. Despite the blockade, tens of thousands of Venezuelans had depended on crossing the border for essential goods and services every day.
