Ukraine war: Kyiv residents shelter in subway amid Russian bombing

Russian forces are closing in on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Heavy fighting is taking place in the northwest and east. Explosions have also been heard in the south – the only remaining gateway in and out of the capital. Many of those who have not fled Kyiv are hiding under its streets in subway stations and tunnels.
