UK: Johnson battles for survival as 2 top cabinet ministers quit
Two of the United Kingdom’s most senior ministers have resigned from the cabinet in the latest blow to Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s leadership. Health Minister Sajid Javid and Finance Minister Rishi Sunak announced their resignations within minutes of each other on Tuesday, plunging Johnson’s government into crisis. The ministers of health and finance said they had lost confidence in Johnson – following a series of scandals. A number of junior ministers have also stepped down, saying the prime minister is unfit to govern.
