Turkey urges Lebanon and Gulf states to resolve dispute

Turkey is calling for a resolution to the diplomatic dispute between Lebanon and several Gulf states. A Lebanese minister's critical comments about the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen prompted Riyadh and other Gulf nations to expel their Lebanese ambassadors. Turkey's foreign minister expressed the country's willingness to play a role in diffusing the dispute while on a visit to Beirut. Lebanon has become a political battleground in the Saudi-Iranian rivalry and it now appears that Turkey has entered the fray.
