Tunisians protest against President Saied’s power grab

Protests have taken place in the Tunisian capital against president Kais Saied. Thousands rallied near the suspended parliament. Others were prevented from joining the demonstration. In July, President Saied sacked the prime minister – creating the biggest political crisis since the 2011 revolution.
