Tunisia president slammed for constitutional bid to expand powers



The head of Tunisia's constitution committee has criticised President Kais Saied for trying to expand his powers. Sadok Belaid, a former constitutional law professor, was appointed by Saied to draft a new constitution. But Saied's proposed version, Belaid said, paves the way for a return to dictatorship.
