Thousands flee as super Typhoon Rai batters southern Philippines
Rescue efforts are under way in the Philippines after one of the most powerful storms in the world this year hit land. Typhoon Rai blew from the Pacific Ocean into the Siargao Islands, forcing nearly 100,000 people to flee their homes.
