Taliban under pressure to respect women’s rights
The international community is maintaining pressure on the Taliban government in Afghanistan to honour its promise to respect the rights of women and girls. However, some females in the media industry say it is getting harder to keep their jobs, especially if they have on-screen roles. The Taliban has denied the accusation and says it is far less strict than the previous government was.
