Sudan peace deal: Implementation delays cause security concerns

Delays in the implementation of a peace deal in the Darfur region of Sudan are raising concerns about security and the delivery of aid. It is nearly two years since Sudan’s government signed the agreement to end years of conflict with armed groups in Darfur. Logistics, finances and a lack of political will have slowed the implementation of the deal, and in the meantime, killings, robberies and insecurity have remained.
