Sri Lanka’s former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is staying at a government bungalow under heavy security after returning to the country late on Friday. He fled two months ago in the face of protests over his poor handling of an economic crisis. He resigned while he was overseas, and many are now calling for him to be held accountable.
