Sri Lankans hold national strike over economic crisis

A national strike is under way in Sri Lanka as part of protests against the government's handling of a devastating economic crisis. Sri Lankans have been dealing with shortages of fuel, food and medicine for weeks. Teachers, dentists, postal workers, railway staff and bankers were among the thousands who stayed away from work to protest against a government they claim is inefficient and corrupt.
