Sandra Day O’connor dies, first woman on US supreme court was 93



The first woman to become a US Supreme Court Justice has died at the age of 93 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Sandra Day O'Connor spent 25 years on the bench, nearly half of that as the only woman there. She lived to see four women on the nine-member court.
