No jab, no job: Italy’s over-50 prohibited from working without vaccination



Italians over the age of 50 who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 are now banned from going to work. Although Italy has a nearly 90 percent vaccination rate, the government says it is necessary to encourage as many people in higher-risk age groups to get vaccinated. But hundreds of thousands of people are choosing not to get the shot, no matter the cost.
