Mexico rations water in city of Monterrey amid extreme drought



A water crisis has reached critical levels in Mexico’s wealthiest city. Residents of Monterrey, home to more than 5 million people are having to ration water amid extreme drought conditions. Scientists say climate change has aggravated a weather phenomenon known as ‘La Nina’ – disrupting weather patterns in the region, and creating some of the driest conditions in decades.
