Mexicans protest following murders of 5 journalists this year
Journalists in Mexico are calling on their president to stop verbally attacking them after a wave of violence against news media workers. Five journalists have been killed in attacks so far this year. Human rights advocates in Mexico have condemned President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s rhetoric toward journalists and called his weekly press conference an illegitimate use of power.
