Iraqi judiciary resumes work as political crisis ensues



Iraq’s Supreme Judiciary Council is resuming work after it was temporarily halted by protests outside its headquarters in Baghdad. Supporters of Shia leader Muqtada al-Sadr launched a new sit-in in front of the Council building, calling for judges to dissolve parliament and set a date for early elections.
