Instagram pauses plans to develop app for kids under 13

Instagram, the photo-sharing social media application, has announced it will hold off on developing a version aimed specifically at children under 13. The retreat comes after an exposé by the Wall Street Journal showed Instagram’s corporate parent Facebook conducted research that found exposure to Instagram harmed teenagers, especially girls.
