Far-right march in Jerusalem appears to be cancelled
The individuals were originally scheduled to arrive from West Jerusalem to Occupied East Jerusalem. However, it appears that the permit issued by the police, likely pre-approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been revoked due to the inflammatory and extremist nature of some of their signs. Recent reports indicate that they have faced resistance from a significant number of police officers and the deployment of a "skunk water" tank further down the road. It seems that the police are actively preventing the marchers from reaching Damascus Gate. The intention to enter that area is considered inflammatory as it encompasses the Muslim Quarter, utilized by Palestinians. The initial plan of the marchers was to traverse through the Old City, passing the Jordanian offices, custodians of the holy sites, and then proceed to the Western Wall, despite the possibility of choosing a route from the Jewish side.
