Europe marks 20th anniversary of euro currency

Saturday marks 20 years since the euro entered circulation. The European Central Bank marked the event on New Year's Eve, with a light display in blue and yellow, representing the colours of the bloc. The Eurozone currency was first introduced in 1999, with coins and banknotes being launched in 2002.
