EU, China and Russia vying for influence in China
African and European Union heads of state are in Brussels for their sixth joint summit. Europe is eager to promote its global investment plans in Africa, and to counter the growing influence of Russia and China on the continent. But thorny issues around COVID-19 vaccines and coups in West Africa could dominate the meeting.
