Domestic violence in Iraq: Women struggle to escape rampant abuse



Women activists in Iraq say the absence of a legislation preventing domestic violence is giving immunity to perpetrators. In February, a federal court rejected an appeal to amend the law. Thousands of women are estimated to be suffering abuse, with at least one woman is killed every week.
