Conditions worsen for Haitian migrants on US-Mexico border
The plight of tens of thousands of Haitian nationals seeking refuge in the US made headlines this week, after Al Jazeera aired footage showing border officials whipping migrants crossing from Mexico. Critics are saying that President Joe Biden has mishandled the situation as he ordered flights to send the refugees home. But deteriorating conditions in Texas state which borders Mexico and news of the deportations are making some Haitians think twice about venturing into the US.
