China sandstorm: Warnings issued as more storms expected

Sandstorms have led to air quality warnings being issued in China.
Large areas in the north have been blanketed with sand carried by the wind from Mongolia.
Yellow dust from the storms also reached Japan and South Korea, causing haze and poor visibility.
China’s air quality has improved in recent years, due to the stricter environmental regulations on factories.
But sandstorms are a common spring-time occurrence for Beijing because of its proximity to the Gobi desert and deforestation in the north of the country. Al Jazeera’s Jessica Washington reports. Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe
