Brazil food crisis: People go hungry amid pandemic, inflation

Many Brazilians living in poor neighbourhoods now depend on donations to put food on the table. The rising inflation, coronavirus pandemic and fewer social programmes are combining to leave more people going hungry in Brazil. Some of the worst-affected families say even if they manage to get some food, they cannot afford fuel to cook it. Poverty is shaping up as a defining issue for next year's election.
