Biden and Xi discuss Taiwan amid spike in cross-strait tensions
Taiwan’s defence minister says tensions with neighbouring China are the worst they have been in 40 years. It follows four days of repeated incursions by Chinese warplanes into the island's air defence zone. Beijing regards the island as a breakaway territory that will undergo unification by force if necessary.
