Austria re-enters COVID-19 lockdown as cases soar again in Europe
Austria has become the first European Union country to re-enter a full nationwide lockdown – as coronavirus infections surge. The average daily number of deaths there has trebled in recent weeks. Under the restrictions, people can only leave their homes to buy groceries, for doctor’s visits or to exercise.
