Argentina wildfires rage on in Corrientes, threatens unique wetlands

Wildfires that have been burning for days parts of Argentina’s north-eastern province of Corrientes – brought on by drought and high temperatures. The flames threaten wildlife in the Ibera National Park, the largest wetland in the country and one of its largest ecosystems. Firefighters continued operations to extinguish the flames. Repairing the damage is expected to cost millions of dollars. The governor of the province has declared it an "ecological and environmental disaster zone"..
