Argentina: Demonstrators rally for VP after assassination attempt
Hundreds of thousands of people in Argentina have come out on the streets in defence of democracy. It follows an attempted assassination of the vice president, Cristina Fernandes de Kirchner. A man pointed a loaded gun at her at point-blank range on Thursday night but it didn't go off. The President declared Friday a national holiday, to show solidarity with her.
