Afghan rescue workers scramble to reach earthquake survivors

Rescue workers in eastern Afghanistan are scrambling to reach survivors after the deadliest earthquake in decades struck a remote border region. At least 1,000 people have been killed and hundreds are trapped under rubble. The earthquake struck in a rural, mountainous area in Paktika province, about 46 kilometres (28 miles) from the city of Khost. People are using whatever they can find, and even their hands, to dig out bodies. Al Jazeera's Katia Lopez Hodayan reports.
