Juvenile sea eagle released back into the wild

A magnificent juvenile white-bellied sea eagle was released into the wild after being treated for dehydration by specialist veterinarians at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service said the eagle was found dehydrated and confused on a busy road in Sydney. After three weeks, it was released back into the Newington Nature Reserve in Sydney Olympic Park. “Her release is great news for the thousands of bird-lovers, researchers and scientists following her progress from birth via EagleCAM – a livestream giving researchers 24 hour access to the lives of nesting sea eagles to investigate their habitat, behaviours and how we can help their long-term survival,” NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service said.
