Belarus-Poland border tension: No end in sight for political standoff The European Commission says it will not be intimidated Belarus’s threats to cut off Russian gas as a dispute over migrants grows. Thousands of people remain stuck at Belarus-Poland border waiting to cross over into the EU nation but European officials have been involved in efforts to stop the flow. The EU says Belarus is directing people to the border in retaliation for sanctions it imposed.
