Nicaragua’s Ortega set to win vote that US calls ‘pantomime’
The White House has called Nicaragua's election "a pantomime". The United States says it will use all diplomatic and economic tools at its disposal to hold Daniel Ortega's government accountable. He is expected to win another presidential term after disqualifying most of the opposition. The government of neighbouring Costa Rica says it will not recognise the vote.
