Nicaragua election: Political repression, poverty drives farmers to Costa Rica

Tens of thousands of Nicaraguans are crossing into neighbouring Costa Rica, to escape poverty and what they say is political repression. They had hoped upcoming elections on Sunday would bring a more democratic government – but the EU's foreign policy chief has already decried the elections, calling them "fake". President Daniel Ortega has led a months-long crackdown on his opponents as he seeks a controversial fourth term in power.
