Within a week of takeover, Musk announces layoffs across Twitter
Just one week after buying Twitter, Elon Musk started a sizeable round of layoffs on Friday. Musk says its content moderation will not be impacted by heavy job losses on Friday. Online campaigners are concerned that changes at the company could result in the spread of disinformation and hate speech. Several multi-billion dollar companies have suspended their advertising.
