Lava spews from La Palma volcano’s collapsed cone
Five weeks since it first erupted, lava continues to flow from the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma. The volcano’s cone partially collapsed on Monday, sending new streams of lava towards previously unaffected areas. Officials say that the Cumbre Vieja is currently more active than it has ever been over the past month.
