Europe gas supplies: Russia shuts major pipeline for maintenance
Russia has shut down the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for three days for planned maintenance. It is the main link delivering gas from Russia to Germany and the rest of Western Europe. In recent months, Russia has significantly reduced the volume of gas transported via the pipeline.
