UN extends Syria aid deliveries from Turkey by six months



The UN Security Council has passed a resolution to extend cross-border aid deliveries into Syria's last rebel-held region – but only for six months. Permission for shipments from Turkey into northwestern Syria expired on Monday, after Russia vetoed an attempt to renew the mandate for a year.
