Senegal’s Casamance conflict: Thousands flee into The Gambia

Armed conflict in the Casamance region of Senegal is sending a steady stream of refugees into The Gambia. Authorities say tens of thousands living in the border region have been displaced and refugees fear things will get worse before they get better. But after four decades of conflict, resources and patience have become overstretched.
