Hong Kong eases curbs, businesses reopen as COVID cases fall



Hong Kong’s toughest COVID-19 restrictions have begun to ease. Restrictions were enforced in early January, at the beginning of the city’s fifth wave – the worst during the pandemic. From Thursday, restaurants are allowed to serve until much later in the night, and hair salons and gyms can reopen. But many say it is too late for some businesses.
