Ukraine war: Chernihiv residents return to destroyed homes
The scale of destruction is becoming evident in some Ukrainian regions following the Russian forces' withdrawal. Residents of the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv have returned to their homes to inspect the damage and destruction after shelling and air attacks by Russian forces left the city in ruins. Chernihiv woke up to rocket attacks on the first day of the war when Russian troops crossed the border from Belarus. Despite being besieged, it did not surrender. And finally, on March 30, the Russian forces retreated from the region.
