Ukraine war triggers global fertiliser shortages
The war in Ukraine has caused widespread shortages of fertiliser. Food prices were soaring before the war and Russia and Ukraine account for nearly 30 percent of the world's fertiliser production. Across the globe, farmers say they are struggling to meet their costs, and consumers are left unable to pay increased food prices.
