Pakistan opposition challenges parliament dissolution



Pakistan's opposition is challenging a decision to dissolve parliament and hold a new election in the next 90 days.
The Supreme Court is hearing a petition. after Pakistan's president dissolved parliament. The move came after a no-confidence motion against prime minister Imran Khan was dismissed, without a vote.
The Deputy Speaker declared the motion was unconstitutional, says the motion was part of a plot by what he calls 'foreign powers'. to interfere in Pakistan's democracy.
The Opposition believes it had the numbers to oust Khan, because several political allies abandoned him.
