In Ukraine, Kharkiv’s emergency services stretched to capacity
In the city of Kharkiv, Russian forces are continuing their relentless attack. A third of the population has managed to escape Ukraine’s second-largest city. The city is shelled while its remaining citizens try to sleep. Police and emergency services are responding to what they can, but nothing has prepared them for what they are doing now.
