Kyiv, Moscow hold talks amid conflict

People are enduring another day of heavy fighting in cities across Ukraine. Dozens of people are reported to have been killed or wounded in Russian attacks on the second biggest city, Kharkiv. Another residential building was hit in Chernihiv. And for the first time since the invasion began – talks are under way between Russian and Ukrainian delegations, at the Belarus border. Ukraine wants an immediate ceasefire and all Russian troops to withdraw. More than 500,000 refugees have fled the fighting, according to the UN. Most are crossing into Poland, Romania and Hungary. Meanwhile, the EU parliament held a special session over the crisis.
