President Putin orders invasion of Ukraine
Russian forces have attacked Ukraine after President Vladimir Putin announced he had authorised a “special military operation” in the country’s east.
Explosions also rocked the breakaway eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk and civilian aircraft were warned away, while there were reports of naval landings at Odesa in Mariupol.
