As US-Canada border closures block trade, governments eye action
The US is urging Canada to use federal powers to end the four-day blockade along their shared border. Thousands of truck drivers have been protesting against COVID restrictions, by disrupting the flow of cargo. Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is due to hold a virtual meeting with opposition leaders to discuss ways out of the crisis.
