UK coastal erosion: Gov’t must choose which communities to save



With a long and well-populated coastline, the United Kingdom is at serious risk from climate change. Flooding and storm damage could make many areas uninhabitable by 2050. The government is planning to spend $7bn to protect the coast. But experts say hard decisions are needed about which areas are to be saved and which are to be surrendered to the sea.
