‘Catastrophe’: Peru oil spill clean-up to take weeks

Peru is tackling a large oil spill on its shores that has been linked to the volcanic eruption near Tonga. Freak waves caused by the undersea eruption struck an oil tanker as it was unloading its cargo, pitching 6,000 barrels of oil into the sea. An area the size of 270 football fields has been affected, including beaches and natural reserves.
