New Dutch government sworn in nearly 300 days after elections

A new Dutch government has been sworn in nearly 300 days after the elections. After the longest coalition talks in the history of the Netherlands, the government has been formed from the same four parties that were forced to step down last year after a childcare benefit scandal. The Netherlands has become increasingly polarised since the start of the pandemic with nearly weekly anti-government protests, including a rally during the inauguration of the new cabinet.
